Established in 2022, AfriSMME Hub was created to grow and develop entrepreneurs across various contexts and stages of their lifecycle. Since its inception, AfriSMME Hub has evolved into distinct divisions that cater to the unique needs of entrepreneurs and those who support them.
AfriSMME Hub is a genuine business incubator in South Africa. However, we prefer to think of ourselves as a Prosperator rather than an incubator. Although AfriSMME Hub avoids the term "social enterprise," it is often labeled as such due to its approach to new ventures. AfriSMME Hub only considers new opportunities if they meet the following criteria:

Urban
In urban settings, there is typically a high volume of economic activity, a wealth of available skills, and a sophisticated entrepreneurial support system. Consequently, AfriSMME Hub’s models for urban environments often include Prosperators, Technibators, and Schools.
Peri-Urban
In smaller towns with moderate economic activity, limited skills, and a basic entrepreneurial support system, AfriSMME Hub typically employs its Prosperator, Beacon, and School models.
